I am planning on doing a group of paintings with roses.
Oil 2011

Late December-Early January

Here are some things I have been working on lately!

Nighttime snow scene with church. All of these snow scenes are based on my "Down the road" series I have been working on/studying. Oil 2011

I have also been studying cardinals the last couple of weeks! Here's a couple of things I have done lately. I plan on doing some with Brown Cardinals and some with both the Male and Female cardinals in one picture.

Sky lights

This was for a class project at APSU. I plan on doing a whole series using this idea. For this painting my instructor told us to select music and create art in response to that music. The musician I chose to listen to was "Ray Charles". I have actually been trying to do more of this sort of painting lately and I am finding I can not get into the right state of mind to paint in this manner unless I am listening to Ray. Some recent things I've done

Small Raven study in oil paint.

This one is a large Oil Painting on stretched canvas. Completely painted from imagination but inspired by Cordell Hull.

Oil on canvas, playing around with a little different colors and techniques.

This is inspired by my time spent in Jackson County living next to Cordell Hull lake. It's an oil on stretched canvas.

A small raven study in oil on canvas panel.

This one is a little older, but I plan I eventually doing a series of these. It is the Nashville Skyline (or part of it at least) It's a small oil on stretched Canvas.
